Star Swim Schools

Star Swim Schools were founded on the belief that water skills and safety are invaluable life lessons, providing a fun yet developmentalally appropriate learn-to-swim environment to produce safer, smarter, stronger swimmers nationwide. To this end, Swimming classes Clyde North provide an exquisitely equipped pool designed to teach essential skills efficiently.

Swimming Lessons for Babies

Drowning is the number one cause of accidental deaths for children under age 5. Survival swim lessons help your baby develop confidence in and around water from an early age, decreasing their risk of drowning later.

Swimming can help your baby to develop cognitive and socialization skills within a group setting, according to studies. Regular swimmers tend to exhibit superior visual-motor coordination as well as verbal and math abilities compared to non-swimmers.

Infant and toddler swim classes range in age from six months to three years old, and feature a low student-instructor ratio for optimal care. Classes feature water play, games, songs and toys designed to make learning to swim an enjoyable experience for students – including flotation training on backs, entering/exiting pools safely and starting the first stages of gliding in water. Parents are strongly encouraged to join all classes while helping their child in different ways throughout class time.

Swimming Lessons for Kids

Drowning is the leading cause of child deaths under 5, so teaching kids water safety skills from an early age is crucial for their wellbeing and lifelong fitness. Teaching water safety lessons also helps ensure they enjoy fun-filled aquatic adventures throughout their lives!

Parents-and-kids-both-together swimming lessons offer parents and their little ones a fantastic way to build bonds while teaching life-saving skills. Many swim schools provide classes starting as young as six months and may offer one-on-one instruction from instructors who know both students.

Swimming lessons take time and practice for children to master. But learning the skill can build perseverance that they can apply in other aspects of their lives – this is particularly beneficial for special needs children as research shows they can improve many social behaviors such as interacting with peers or adhering to physical boundaries when participating in aquatic activities.

Swimming Lessons Clyde

This class, tailored for adult swimmers with limited or no swimming experience, teaches students to feel at ease in the water while building swimming skills that build both confidence and endurance. They work towards becoming independent by developing basic front/back float movements as well as learning beginner strokes.

Participants in this class must have completed Level 2 and be comfortable putting their face underwater to swim in it. Classes gradually build upon skills every week. You will learn rotary breathing for freestyle, elementary backstroke, dive and tread water as well as dive training and tread water dive techniques as well as introduction to breaststroke kick and butterfly pull techniques.
