History
Monterrey Football Club was established by a group of industrial businessmen near the end of World War II in 1945. Their first match against Jabatos de Nuevo Leon ended 1-0, with Jose “Che” Gomez scoring the winning goal. Since then, they have won three league championships and one Copa MX title during their early years of existence.
